Sharing Nice’s History on Instagram
The Niçois and history enthusiast Tom Obry is the person behind the Instagram account Nicestorique. Since 2020, this history student has been revealing the hidden stories of our region to both locals and tourists.
Indeed, he immersed himself in Nice’s local history through books, documentaries, and research. Becoming passionate about what he learned, he realized it deserved to be shared and wanted to do so.
“Lighter than a notebook and less heavy than a teacher”, he democratizes history by presenting it in a simplified way, encouraging anyone to take an interest in it.

Months earlier, as Tom envisioned himself in the near future sharing Nice’s history with passersby on the street, his wish has materialized.

The Old Town, Mont Boron, Promenade des Anglais, or the Castle Hill will be the perfect opportunity to (re)explore these places while uncovering their little secrets and anecdotes. The four offered routes are different from each other, except for some recurring spots such as Old Nice, which is a must-see.
