The Nice-China Horizon Association, apart from its activities such as language courses, painting, and calligraphy, also organizes themed conferences and cultural trips to China to showcase the country’s many facets.
The Association invites you to mark its new season with a major event, the celebration of the lunar festival, in partnership with Museaav under the presidency of Madame Nelda Goglio, who happens to be the patron of the association.
This festive evening will be celebrated in the presence of the Chinese Consul in Marseille and will take place on:
Thursday, September 23, 2010, at 6 PM
at Museaav 16bis, Place Garibaldi Nice
The lunar festival is celebrated on the day of the full moon on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. According to astrologers, it is the time of the year when the moon is at its brightest.
This evening of September 23 will begin at 6 PM with a video projection of Chinese Tang poem recitations, followed by the opening of a photo exhibition “China, Wonders and Contrasts.”
The evening will conclude with a festive meal featuring folk dance entertainment at the restaurant Le Sully, Place Garibaldi (next to the castle hill), the perfect place to admire the moonlight as per Chinese tradition.
On the menu with a contribution of 28 euros for members and 30 euros for non-members:
Salmon terrine followed by sliced chicken curry with Thai rice, a quarter of rosé wine, and at the end of the meal, fruits, and mooncakes will be served.
