On Sunday, the garden of the Cimiez arenas is expected to see a high turnout for the Better Living Together picnic, which will highlight the Francophonie and its Games taking place in early September in Nice. On this occasion, a Niçoise cooking workshop will be offered to children featuring the sweet version of Pan Bagnat, which allowed Franck Viano to win the Nice edition of the show “Un dîner presque parfait,” accompanied by Tamara Greboval, who reached the Top 10 in the show Masterchef.
Starting at 11 a.m., a complete program will be offered to visitors with performances prepared by Niçoise associations, a concert by the Nice City Harmony Orchestra, children’s storytelling, dance performances, a Francophone fashion show, and many other activities that will enliven the day.
One of the many activities will be a demonstration followed by a cooking workshop, allowing the youngsters to make their own sweet version of Pan Bagnat, which they can then enjoy in the shade of the olive trees. “Being a part of these upcoming Francophonie Games, I was delighted to accept Maty Diouf’s invitation to organize this cooking workshop for the children. It’s a moment of sharing where we can discuss this famous Niçoise cuisine that so many envy us for. We will, of course, have a fond thought for Renée Graglia, who has recently left us but will certainly look down on us even if she’s not present in this Cimiez garden that has witnessed so many of her culinary demonstrations,” explains this fervent defender of local cuisine.
The workshop will take place at noon at the Francophonie stand, with registrations starting at 11 a.m. at the same stand. However, note that the number of children is limited to 20, so it will be the first who arrive who will be the first… to the table!
So see you this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Cimiez arenas garden to share this moment and above all “Better Living Together”!
