The innovative concept is the brainchild of two people from Nice: a passionate lover of Niçoise cuisine, Franck Viano, and a radiographic artist, Valérie Marco. The fusion of their passions has led to the creation of an extraordinary exhibition.
Colored X-rays?
Pan Bagnat, Niçoise Salad… Franck Viano and Valéry Marco are tackling the giants of Niçoise gastronomy. These two art creators have decided to unite their talents around one concept: taking X-rays of the essentials of Niçoise cuisine.
Mammograms of an artichoke or olive oil passed through X-rays are part of a series of innovative radiographic shots. The experimentation of these two individuals from Nice will soon be unveiled during an exhibition in a gallery in Nice, and also in restaurants, bars, pubs, and even waiting rooms… You can’t say you don’t know about it!
An Uncommon Duo
Franck Viano is the creator of the Collectif Cuisine Niçoise, winner of “an almost perfect dinner” and finalist of the 2018 Talents Gourmands competition, and Ambassador of Côte d’Azur France.
For her part, Valérie Marco, after experimenting with X-raying fruits, flowers, and objects, is now focusing on the flagship products and iconic recipes of Niçoise cuisine as her new playground and experiment base.
Valérie Marco is currently exhibiting at Les Rencontres d’Arles, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
