This Friday marked the signing of the agreement sealing the partnership between the city of Nice, the Nice Bar Association, and the Departmental Council for Access to Rights at the Judicial Court.
At the heart of the Palais de Justice, a place rich in symbolism, the mayor of Nice formalized the partnership with the Bar Association and the Departmental Council for Access to Rights. After reaching an agreement with the Nice Academy to combat school bullying earlier this week, the city of Nice continues its commitment to children.
Nice, recognized as a child-friendly city by UNICEF, is committed to raising awareness among the young people of Nice about their fundamental rights. The primary goal of the city is to support children in their development by providing them with the necessary tools to grow up in a peaceful environment and become conscious citizens.
## Legal Education: The Bar Association Lawyers Educate in Schools
In a continuous effort to educate and empower young people, the lawyers of the Bar Association intervene within schools to inform young people about their rights and responsibilities as citizens. These initiatives aim to raise students’ awareness on crucial issues such as respect for physical and moral integrity, image protection, and the dangers posed by cybercrime.
During the 2022/2023 school year, eleven interventions carried out by the Bar Association Lawyers reached a total of 310 students. This partnership between the Bar Association lawyers and the City of Nice marks the “kick-off of this magnificent project,” emphasized the president of the Bar.
