2013 is now well underway, so we’ve finally finished wishing each other a happy new year. It’s time to focus on what the city and the Palais Nikaia have in store for our musical ears. And we’re not going to hide it from you, we have quite the impressive lineup on the program.
This February, it’s Michel Sardou who occupied the forefront of the Nice stage. A concert that had been sold out for a long time and was a great success.
In March, we’ll note the The Australian Pink Floyd Show taking place on Sunday, the 17th. An exceptional tribute to the legendary band. The group has performed all over the world and in the most prestigious venues (in France, the Zenith, just to name one). Ticket prices range from €46 to €56.
In April, music and humor are on the agenda. Joe Cocker will be on stage on Saturday, the 6th. At almost 70 years old, the rocker hasn’t finished with his audience and is making a strong comeback. The humor comes from Michelle Laroque and Pierre Palmade with their show “ils se re-aiment” 12 years after their last duo “ils se sont aimés.”
We continue with May, featuring some great music this time. Depeche Mode will pass through Nice on Saturday, May 4th. A world tour that will end shortly after their stop in our beautiful region, with the release of a new album announced for March 26th. On May 15th, it’s Danny Brillant who will charm the ladies on stage. Finally, the next day, it’s Mathieu Chedid aka “M” who will set the venue on fire with his electric guitar. This singer with an atypical voice is known for his colorful concerts. To finish, on May 18th, Marc Lavoine will in turn charm the city of Nice.
Finally, in June, it’s the musical 1789 Les Amants de la Bastille that will be present on Saturday and Sunday, the 15th and 16th. After selling several thousand albums and gaining fame through their music videos, the troupe is on tour throughout the country.
On Wednesday, the 26th, Muse will set the Palais Nikaia on fire with its unique but much-appreciated rock sound.
A slight preview then for the months ahead. Enough to plan some great evenings in advance.
