Thanks to the action initiated by the identitarians to challenge the occupancy agreement established between the town hall and the Muslims on Rue de Suisse, we can finally know the rental amount for the mosque premises: 350 euros per month for 163.45 m² right in the city center!
This helps explain why the town hall has been maintaining complete opacity for several months by refusing to disclose this information to the neighborhood residents.
We now know that, besides having preemptively acted with the sole purpose of subletting to the Muslims, further favoring the most radical trend, the municipality rents these premises for a meager amount. The taxpayers of Nice are therefore doubly deceived in this matter and contribute to funding a Muslim place of worship with their taxes.
Furthermore, the occupancy agreement also mentions the possibility of adding the adjoining 43 m² space in the future. A representative of the municipality had already mentioned this in the press, speaking of an initial one-year observation period. Yet, it seems that a lease has already been signed for this space as well, and the Muslims have started work there! This was done without notifying the co-ownership as the law requires. We are currently verifying this information and are considering the possibility of filing a second appeal in court if such a lease has indeed been established by the municipality.
The outrageous cost of the rent, along with the blatant and obvious violation of the principle of secularism, allows us to look forward with great confidence to the future judgment before the Administrative Court. It is high time that Christian Estrosi understands that he cannot play with fire in this manner by favoring Islamic demands in our city and letting the heart of the city perish.
