After “Mon ami le mal,” published last year by the Nice-based publishing house Du Bailly De Suffren, Franck Viano is re-releasing his second thriller titled “Nissart Killer,” but this time in a rather unique way. Watch out!
Originally, Nissart Killer was intended to be a traditional print detective novel, but it will ultimately be offered “virtually” in the form of interactive episodes each week on Nice Premium and Facebook. This new plot unfolds in two not particularly open worlds: The Kitchen and Freemasonry.
Two worlds that might even close in more on Inspector Ségur, the Nice cop who will experience this new adventure interactively with the daily news of the Nice Carnival, the 100th anniversary of the Nice Paul Augier hospitality school, Agecotel, and OGC Nice. Each episode will be rewritten to incorporate the life of Nice and the French Riviera, which may cause possible changes during the novel.
Through the Facebook page, internet users will be invited to design the banner for the page or propose ideas that could be integrated into the episodes, enhancing the story’s interactivity. “It is also possible that another author and friend will release a few episodes of the series, with the door naturally remaining open to other forms of collaboration, if the chemistry is right….” the Nice author confides.
So, mark your calendars for Wednesday, January 15, to discover the first episode of “Nissart Killer,” featuring the story of a serial killer who takes down, one by one, chefs from the French Riviera who do not respect the tradition of Nice cuisine… Bon appétit!
