The new school year is in full swing. On this occasion, the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur Sports is organizing an all-female cycling tour on Saturday, September 30th. Get ready, set, go!
The route will start at 8 a.m. from the Centenary Monument and will offer all participants a sporty and friendly bike ride in the company of all the club’s women’s teams. Women’s cycling has seen a significant increase in licensed members in recent years, and these kinds of events aim to give visibility to a practice that, paradoxically, is not widely embraced by the general public. To date, the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur has a women’s section at the FFC National 1 level.
An Exceptional Route
67 kilometers of racing with an elevation gain of 940 meters will await the bravest. They will set off from the Promenade des Anglais to reach the Basse Corniche up to Cap d’Ail, before heading towards the Moyenne Corniche to bypass Monaco, Roquebrune Cap Martin, and Menton, where a coffee break will be offered by the club. The return to Nice will be via the Grande Corniche passing through La Turbie. Note that vehicle assistance and supervision will be provided.
