The prefect of Alpes-Maritimes, Bernard GONZALEZ, warns: “Law enforcement will be firm with anyone who circumvents the confinement rules in the context of vacations, risking compromising the ongoing health war; the rule is simple: even on vacation, I stay home!”
Police officers, gendarmes, maritime affairs officials will also ensure compliance with the prefectural orders prohibiting, with the exception of authorized persons:
- access to beaches, the coastline, and coastal paths;
- access to forested areas;
- access to the banks of rivers, streams, and canals;
- access to the Port of Nice
