This Wednesday will mark the 2nd edition of the “No Finish Line,” a sports and charity race. Last year, it brought together 3,200 participants who covered 52,558 km in 98 hours.
The “No Finish Line” is an unusual concept created in 1999 by Philippe Verdier in Monaco. It is a marked and secure circuit of about 1 km that participants can complete as many times as they wish until the end of the event. Each kilometer is converted into euros, and the money raised goes to disadvantaged or sick children.
From April 24th starting at 2 p.m. until Sunday, April 28th at 4 p.m., the goal is to gather 4,000 runners (or walkers) to cover 60,000 kilometers over 5 days and 4 nights. If this goal is reached, the event would allow for 60,000 euros to be raised, entirely donated to projects supporting children in difficult situations on the Côte d’Azur. Lenval, CHU l’Archet, the ALC Association, and others will be the beneficiaries.
Each participant receives a chip upon registration to track the distance covered. The race is accessible to everyone, even the youngest. Refreshment services are planned throughout these 5 days of good deeds.
