The Bal de la Medj’agoust was an opportunity for the engaged young citizens of G-ADDICTION, the Regional Health Agency of PACA, and the Prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes to launch a large-scale awareness campaign about the dangers associated with alcohol consumption.
Quintin Matton, director of G-Addiction Intercampus, stated: “While this type of festivity is often accompanied by alcohol, we have raised awareness among 150 residents of Breil-sur-Roya, Saorge, and the visitors present, to enhance public safety, tranquility, and health. It is great to see this responsible youth strongly engaging in our rural communities! The distance does not deter us: given the very positive feedback from this initiative, it was well worth the 160-kilometer round trip!”
