Quarter-finalist and semi-finalist of the show Top Chef, Noémie and Norbert will participate in the Nice Telethon. Omnipresent on the French culinary scene, they will give their time to help associations fighting against rare diseases. The fruit of their labor will help raise funds. Noémie shared her thoughts on this charitable event with us.
A culinary marathon live from Place Pierre Gauthier in Nice
Noémie Honiat and Norbert Tarayre were inseparable during the Top Chef adventure. Here they are reunited once again for the Telethon, taking place on December 8th. They are taking on the wild challenge of executing a 12-hour culinary marathon, live from Place Pierre Gauthier in Nice, alongside Franck Viano, the winner of the Nice edition of “Un dîner presque parfait”.
The cooked dishes will then be sold for the benefit of the Telethon. Cupcakes, sushi, and sweet ban bagnats will surely delight the palates of the women and men of Nice. The public will have the opportunity to taste the recipes that made the two chefs and the amateur Nice cook famous.
Big-hearted chefs
Noémie participates in the Telethon primarily to “give a few minutes of her time to help others”. She adds that there is “no financial interest, just the desire to bring a smile to those who are suffering the most”.
For Noémie and Norbert, cooking together is a given, they consider themselves “like family”. Energetic and cheerful during the Top Chef show, they will enchant passersby in the Old Town of Nice.
Cooking for 12 hours does not scare Noémie; she could stay behind her stove “32 or 50 hours”. She concludes with a smile, “it’s a shame the Telethon doesn’t last a week”.
