Following the accusations by Me Ouassini Mebarek, who filed a complaint against persons unknown for violation of correspondence, complicity, and concealment, the state representative issued a clear and firm statement this Friday.
However, it boils down to two possibilities: either the president-lawyer of the association is seeing shadows where there are none, or there is indeed a “chatterbox” somewhere.
While we await a “Sherlock Holmes ร la socca” to reveal the solution, we can only take note of the Prefecture’s statement (below):
The Nice Muslim Institute En-Nour (IMEN) has filed a complaint against persons unknown for violation of confidentiality of correspondence. It is within this context that the lawyer for IMEN commented on the said complaint through the press and directly implicated a state representative.
In this regard, the Prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes provides the following elements.
All important correspondence received or sent by the Prefecture is known to the Prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes, who alone is responsible for its dissemination.
Furthermore, no information sent by the Nice Muslim Institute En-Nour has been transmitted to the city of Nice.
Thus, the Prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes categorically denies the statements made by IMEN’s lawyer.
Nevertheless, the Prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes is personally at the complete disposal of the investigators, should it be necessary, to provide all elements deemed useful for the examination of this complaint against persons unknown.
