Suitable for families with children aged 6 and up
As the entire town prepares to celebrate Christmas with joy, Andersen’s famous “little match girl” remains frozen with cold. Without shoes, without money, without parents or house. Maybe she will manage to defy her fate as a beggar and, with the fire from her matches, ignite her dreams… Transposed into today’s world, in a somewhat fantastical and completely offbeat urban universe, the tale speaks to everyone. Thanks to Heidi Brouzeng, who appears like a comic book character with a mask and blue hair, we truly believe it when she moves her body, invents little jumbled words, and emits a few murmurs against a sentimental or spirited music background. This theater, without text (or almost), punctuated by sound commas, manipulated objects, and masks, is a wonderful homage to the imagination and poetry of children, who alone can defy misery, indifference, and death.

First Love
Samuel Beckett / Sami Frey
theater
Friday, November 19 at 8:30 PM
Saturday, November 20 at 8:30 PM
Georges Perec, Ecclesiastes, Epictetus, Jean-Paul Sartre, Harold Pinter, Marguerite Duras, today Samuel Beckett: there are companionships that shape a man. Sami Frey is one of those outstanding actors who relish engaging with the words of others, exploring them unsparingly to extract their essence. Driven by the sole requirement to be as close as possible to Samuel Beckett, to the deep humanity of his characters, to the musicality of his prose, he conveys with precision this story of pathetic humor, refreshing naivety, and egotism. So, from the moment he steps onto the stage, dressed in an old overcoat, a soft hat, and a backpack, and settles on a bench, one knows that the journey by his side will be unforgettable. Precious, even.
