OGC Nice: 6 absentees against Troyes

Amid a series of poor results, Didier Digard will have to make do with a weakened squad against ESTAC.

After three consecutive defeats across all competitions, OGC Nice will travel this Sunday (at 3 pm) to Troyes for the 33rd round of the championship. In response to these significant setbacks, the Nice team absolutely must break out of this negative spiral, although qualification for a European cup now seems almost impossible.

Weakened by the team’s recent performances and rumors of coaches being targeted by the management, Didier Digard will have to restart the engine to end the season well. In this challenging context, the Nice coach will unfortunately have to make do with a squad diminished by the injuries of six of his players.

In the re-athleticism phase, Mattia Viti (adductor lesion), Alexis Beka Beka (psoas lesion), and Sofiane Diop (knee sprain) will not be able to take part in the trip to Aube. “We hope they will rejoin the group during the course of next week,” said the OGC Nice coach, who explained that the team’s number 10 continued his re-athleticism program this Friday, after participating in his first session with the group the day before.

Three other players are also in the infirmary: Nicolas Pepe (knee tendon), Youssouf Ndayishimiye (knee sprain), and Joe Bryan (ankle sprain): “for them, it will take longer,” commented Didier Digard during the press conference.
