OGC Nice has officially confirmed a fourth warm-up match before the resumption of Ligue 1. The Eagles will travel to England to face Hull City on August 15, a week before hosting Lorient.
OGC Nice continues to build its summer preparation. The Côte d’Azur club has announced the organization of one final friendly match before the start of the championship. The Eagles will face Hull City on Saturday, August 15 at the MKM Stadium.
Kick-off will be at 3 p.m. local time, or 4 p.m. in France. This match will take place one week before the first day of Ligue 1, scheduled for August 22 against FC Lorient at the Allianz Riviera.
Hull City will approach this match with a new status. The Yorkshire club finished in sixth place in the Championship, the second division of English football, at the end of the 2025-2026 season. This position allowed the Tigers to secure the last qualifying spot for the promotion playoffs. The English club then confirmed its promotion and will play in the Premier League during the 2026-2027 season. The championship will begin on the weekend of August 22 with the reception of Manchester United.
A fourth test before the resumption of Ligue 1
The match against Hull City now completes OGC Nice’s preparation schedule. After resuming training on July 8, Olivier Pantaloni’s squad will play their first friendly match against Nîmes Olympique on July 18 at the training center, behind closed doors.
The Nice team will then travel to Turin to face Juventus on July 31, before a trip to Sardinia on August 8 to face Cagliari on the occasion of the Trofeo Gigi Riva.
The meeting in England will be the final preparation before the return of competitive action. OGC Nice will then begin the Ligue 1 season against FC Lorient, in a behind-closed-doors match at the Allianz Riviera, before a trip to Paris FC on August 30.
This series of matches will allow Olivier Pantaloni to continue implementing his playing project before the first official fixtures of the 2026-2027 season.
