This Monday, OGC Nice and its President Jean-Pierre Rivรจre presented the progress of the construction sites for the club’s new training and formation center.
By 2017, OGC Nice will be equipped with facilities more in line with its ambitions. It is a long-term project that would allow the club to be more competitive. โIt will change many things. If we want the club to grow, we must take care of our image. We already have a new stadium and soon we will have a new training and formation center. A club also grows thanks to its infrastructure,โ adds Jean-Pierre Rivรจre.

6,000 m2 of Sports Facilities
A 6,000 m2 building spanning three stories. Six and a half football fields. This is what the new playground of the Aiglons should look like. The new center will be equipped with a restaurant, a gym, and a press room.
More than 300 rooms for all boarders will also be planned. Facilities that meet the club’s expectations.
Jean-Philippe Cabane, the architect in charge of the project, explains, โThe President wanted to bring together all the club’s facilities in one place.โ
Rivรจre: โIn terms of working conditions, this future center will be a change comparable to the transition from the Ray to the @AllianzRivieraโ

15 Million Euros in Construction
The estimated cost of the work will be 15 million euros. Part of it was financed by the transfer of Jordan Amavi to an English club last summer. The transaction reportedly brought the club 13 million euros.
