For their first friendly match against the Swiss team Lausanne (D2), OGC Nice put on an impressive display with a decisive 4-1 victory, featuring a brace from their new signing, Valรจre Germain.
Claude Puel could be satisfied after the match, as the two teams he fielded for this first friendly delivered on all expectations, resulting in a victory that will greatly benefit a developing squad.
Admittedly, not everything was perfect, but overall, the eaglets managed to control the game from start to finish, scoring three goals in the first half (Valรจre Germain twice and Alassane Plea) while conceding only one over both halves against a team that will resume competition in less than a week.
It was in the first half that the red and blacks made the difference with a squad close to the so-called starting team, featuring a lively Ben Arfa and a highly successful Valรจre Germain. At the back, the Le Marchand-Bodmer duo did not give Hassen much to worry about, while the midfield trio of Mendy, Koziello, and Seri also delivered satisfaction.
The preparation can now continue with the next match scheduled for this Friday against the Belgians of Zult-Waregem, then back to the Cรดte d’Azur for the traditional match against Frรฉjus-St Raphaรซl on the upcoming Tuesday, July 21, before the clash against Naples on Sunday, August 2 at the Allianz Riviera.
