OGC Nice: agreement between Galtier and PSG

Latest News

In an article published on Nice Premium a few days ago, we mentioned the likely departure of Christophe Galtier from OGC Nice. The situation seems to have evolved, and the Gym coach is indeed expected to leave the club.

After a disappointing season, Paris Saint-Germain is going to dismiss its Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino. Even though his departure has not yet been made official, the capital club is actively looking for its next coach. Among the targeted coaches are the Portuguese José Mourinho and the Nice coach, Christophe Galtier.

Several sources had indicated that even if Galtier did not join PSG, his adventure in Nice seemed compromised due to the poor performance in the Coupe de France final, several disagreements with the management, and statements criticized by his supporters. The Marseille native was already prepared to leave the club, and today, it really feels like the end is nearing.

Indeed, a new development has sealed Galtier’s fate. Faced with Mourinho’s refusal to come to Paris, he is now the top priority for the Parisian club. This information is quite reliable, as it comes from some of the most trustworthy sources in the football world: the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano and the British media SkySports.

Fabrizio Romano provided more details, stating the former LOSC coach has said yes to Paris and is now waiting for PSG to contact Nice to begin the initial steps.

By joining Paris Saint-Germain, Christophe Galtier will reunite with Luis Campos, the sporting director he wanted to bring to the Gym in place of Julien Fournier.
