A preliminary agreement has been reached between the Gym and the Troyes club for the transfer of Christophe Hérelle.
The 25-year-old player will undergo a medical examination on Monday before signing his contract.
More than just an arrival, the signing of this right-footed, powerful (1.88m, 75 kg) and versatile defender will resemble a return to Nice, where he was born on August 22, 1992.
Followed for several seasons and possessing significant room for improvement, the player who faced the Gym twice in 2017/2018 with ESTAC will wear the red and black jersey after passing the various medical exams.
Having come through the FC Sochaux-Montbéliard training center, Hérelle got accustomed to tough battles at Colmar, in National, where he played for a season and a half, between 2013 and 2015. Consistent, he climbed a level immediately and established himself with authority at Créteil-Lusitanos, in L2.
With the club relegated, he headed to Troyes (2016/2017), stabilized the Aubois defense, played a key role in the club’s promotion to L1, and had a full first season in the elite (34 appearances in the starting lineup), despite Troyes’ relegation.
