OGC Nice-Ajaccio: Let’s play and sing in the rain!

Latest News

After the extravagant defeat in the Coupe de la Ligue at Nantes and before heading to Marseille for the Coupe de France match, Nice returns to the Allianz Riviera with the hope of securing another victory in their new setting.

After suffering seven consecutive defeats and a significant drop in the standings, the Nice team has steadied the ship and are coming off two wins and a draw in the league.

Ranked 14th, Claude Puel’s squad is only seven points ahead of the first team in the relegation zone, so they have every incentive to regain their home form (six wins, one draw, three defeats, sixth-best home record).

For Ajaccio, the prospect of staying up is becoming increasingly bleak. At the bottom of the table with only 9 points, the Corsicans are on a run of four consecutive league defeats (despite putting up a good fight against Paris in the last match) and have not won in Ligue 1 since last September 25.

The most pessimistic observers will note that Christian Bracconi’s men have only picked up three points away from home (three draws and six defeats).

Will the sun return, even figuratively, given the wet weather forecast on the Cรดte dโ€™Azur?
