Unavailable since mid-December, the Algerian international is once again available for Sunday’s match against Lille.
During the pre-match press conference for the reception of LOSC on Sunday, Didier Digar was asked about the return of the fullback from Boghni to the team: “He is fit. He has trained very well. We shouldn’t be afraid of this series of three matches in one week and start taking unnecessary risks with such an important player as Youcef. On one hand, because the season is still long, and on the other hand, because Jordan (Lotomba) has worked very well in recent weeks. We’re going to be very attentive to ensure he can have a gradual return. Which doesn’t mean he won’t play on Sunday, either. In any case, we’re going to be very attentive to him, because he is really very important to us.”
The 26-year-old defender will probably make his return to the group for Lille but should be protected. A more than logical choice, as since his arrival in 2018, Youcef Atal has been injured 16 times…
