The Nice club announced in a statement: Lucas Da Cunha will be loaned to Clermont Foot without a purchase option until the end of the season.
The offensive midfielder, Lucas Da Cunha, 20 years old, will finish the season at the Auvergne club Clermont Foot, which is a member of Ligue 1 and currently ranks 16th in the standings.
“Having joined OGC Nice in September 2020 after five initial appearances with the pros at Stade Rennais, Lucas Da Cunha will experience a second loan following his successful stint at Lausanne-Sport during the 2020-2021 season (28 matches, 6 goals, 1 assist),” writes OGC Nice in its statement.
The player will soon be joining Pascal Gastien’s team – a former “Aiglon” – and will be able to continue “his development in the elite of French football.” Lucas Da Cunha has made 12 appearances this 2021-2022 season, including 10 with the Gym.
