The Gym will face a tough challenge in the third qualifying round of the Champions League. They will come up against Ajax, this year’s Europa League finalist.
Third in the league last season, Nice will face Ajax Amsterdam, the Europa League finalist and the team that knocked out Lyon in the semifinals, as part of the third qualifying round of the Champions League. The first leg will take place at the Allianz Riviera on July 25 or 26, with the return leg in the Dutch capital on August 1 or 2.
If they qualify, the Gym will advance to the playoffs, the last step before the group stage of the Champions League.
