OGC Nice is making a statement for a fresh start.

The 2007 poster of OGC Nice will soon beautify the advertising spaces of the Côte d’Azur. On a fiery background, possibly meant to evoke setting the stadium ablaze at Stade du Ray, a refreshing, if not entirely novel, message is present: “All together for a new start.”

This campaign aimed to showcase an experienced player (Olivier Echouafni) and a promising young talent from the club (Honorato Campos Ederson), both players well representing the profile of the team for the 2007-2008 season.”
We can only hope that the lively Brazilian will remain in red and black before the season starts, given that a clause in his contract states that if a club offers €12 million to acquire the services of the young Carioca prodigy, OGC Nice cannot refuse. Worse still, the club will only receive 50% of the transfer, with the rest going to the Brazilian training club, Juventude.

This year the club will bet on young talents (Lloris, Modeste, Traoré…) supported by experienced players (Laslandes, Rool, Hognon…).” In any case, the club cannot rely on anything else for now given the poor recruitment conditions.

As for the tagline, it refers to the numerous difficulties encountered last year, which we now want to put behind us. Not forgetting the mention of “together” and the public’s presence in the visual, highlighting the crucial importance of the supporters.” With difficulties now behind us, the word “Together” seems unquestionably trendy this year, and a warm audience appears more akin from La Siesta than from Stade du Ray.

We could have dreamed of a better way to decorate the city’s walls, but after all, isn’t a failed poster and a great season better than the opposite?
