The Gym and LOSC have already faced each other twice this season. Before the third match (which will start on Friday at 19:00 at the Allianz Riviera), let’s look back at these initial duels.
On December 13th, the Aiglons traveled to the Pierre-Mauroy stadium for their entry into the Coupe de la Ligue and were quickly surprised by a little number from Luiz Araujo. Pressed for time (since there is no extra time in the Coupe de la Ligue this season), they relied on Mario Balotelli to make up for the deficit. And on an outstanding Yoan Cardinale to secure qualification during the penalty shootout.
Exactly one week after this first confrontation, the two teams met again in L1. And this time, there was no penalty shootout required to determine the winner. Bassem Srarfi long believed he handed the victory to his team after a superb solo run, but unfortunately, the Gym was caught shortly after the hour mark. They returned to the County with regrets.
