OGC Nice is not only a flagship club in Ligue 1. It is also a major player in solidarity in its area. Committed since the early 2000s, OGC Nice has intensified and structured its civic action from 2011 onwards, under the impetus of its new President Jean-Pierre Rivรจre, focusing its efforts on two major causes: “Children” and “Proximity.”
โข Proximity, by acting with all those in need: organizing meals with the Nice public in precarious situations, collecting sandwiches, clothes, and toys at the Allianz Riviera, organizing the Employment Forum, blood drives…
โข Children, by supporting and accompanying children in difficulty and their families daily: visits to hospitals, support and coaching for young people with mental and physical disabilities, surprise meetings with players, support for small childhood assistance associations… Everything is set up to provide an enchanted respite for these families.
Each area has its flagship programs, among them: “Gym Solidaire,” “Employment Forum,” “Red & Black Blood Donation” for proximity, “Lenval Wednesdays,” “Children without Pain,” “You+Me=OGC Nice” for childhood.
Jean-Pierre Rivรจre, President of OGC Nice: “We are fully aware that a football club has an important social role to play. Every year, we carry out 500 solidarity actions, mostly away from the cameras.”
The creation of our Endowment Fund is the logical next step to attract external funds by involving private partners and the general public, thus providing us with additional resources.
