Yesterday at noon, the children from the Le Chalet des Roses primary school received a pleasant surprise with the visit of two players from the Gym. The international hopeful goalkeeper Mouez Hassen, and the Portuguese midfielder Ricardo Pereira.
“Who doesnโt jump isnโt from Nice, who doesnโt jump isnโt from Nice!”
Mouez Hassen and Ricardo Pereira were welcomed with cheers from their young supporters at the Le Chalet des Roses school. The school had finished second in the school fair competition organized by OGC Nice. As a reward, the children had the opportunity to welcome the visit of two players from Nice.
For an hour, the two “eaglets” signed cards, posters, and even exchanged a few balls with the children. It was a special moment for these students, with some saying: “Itโs strange to see them in real life,” “I prefer Real Madrid, but I also like OGC Nice,” “Awesome, I got Mouez Hassen’s autograph. The future goalkeeper of the French team.”
According to Josรฉ Cobos, former player and emblematic figure of OGC Nice, it is important for top-level athletes like footballers to meet their public, especially the younger ones. “These athletes are role models. When we arrived, it was amazing to see the light in their eyes. It shows how important sport is as a means of education. And I know that the players enjoy these moments too.” he explains.
In any case, the children are already looking forward to more such recesses.
