Santa Claus had already visited the OGC Nice side this Wednesday. The club invited 300 “pitchouns” registered at Gym to the Charles-Ehrmann Sports Hall for a moment some will never forget. On the agenda: matches with professional players, an autograph session, and a snack.
“Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays”, all in a warm and family-friendly atmosphere. This was the credo of this Wednesday afternoon, traditionally reserved for children. Young club members from U6 to U12 were invited to spend over two hours in contact with their idols.
Three fields were created, teams mixed between professional team players and the various age categories of the OGC Nice association. For a few minutes of play, the children were able to realize one of their dreams: playing with those they usually cheer on at the stadium. In the end, it was the entire OGC Nice team that emerged victorious. The Nice formation was honored, and one day, who knows, these youngsters might replace the professionals to spend time with other budding talents.
The afternoon concluded with a large snack in the company of educators and parents, not forgetting the photo with Santa Claus. The future talents left with stars in their eyes and signed cards to adorn their rooms.
This Sunday, a second gift could delight young Nice supporters: a victory against AS Saint-Etienne for the last match of 2014 at the Allianz Riviera.
