OGC Nice: The Eaglets at the Merlus tonight

Latest News

After the draw against Monaco this weekend, OGC Nice is heading to Lorient this Wednesday evening to get back to winning ways.

As part of the seventh matchday of Ligue 1, OGC Nice will play their third away match of the season at the Moustoir Stadium, against FC Lorient, who are currently in seventh place in the standings.
Having conceded their first two goals of the season, the Eagles must not underestimate the Breton team, which has already beaten Lille and Monaco at the beginning of this season.
The red and black team will need to be cautious of Lorient’s two strikers, who were revelations last season: the Nigerian Terem Moffi (2 goals and 2 assists) and French hopeful, Armand Laurienté (2 goals).

To secure this victory in Morbihan, Christophe Galtier will have to do without several players (Dolberg, Lemina, and Claude Maurice) but is expected to field a similar starting eleven to Sunday’s match. The first start for Andy Delort following Dolberg’s injury is a given. The former Montpellier player, who opened his scoring account against Monaco, will aim to repeat the feat against a five-man Breton defense.

Probable line-ups:

FC Lorient: in 5-3-2
Nardi – Silva, Mendes, Laporte, Fontaine, Le Goff – Monconduit, Le Fée, Abergel – Laurienté, Moffi

Absent: Lemoine (personal reasons), Morel (thigh)

OGC Nice: in 4-4-2
Benitez – Lontomba, Dante, Todibo, Bard – Boudaoui, Thuram, Rosario, Kluivert or Stengs – Delort, Gouiri.

Absentees: Dolberg (knee), Claude-Maurice (foot), and Lemina (suspension)
