OGC Nice: the Mèfi Club visits Marineland

Latest News

This Wednesday, nearly two hundred young fans of the Gym enjoyed an exceptional afternoon at Marineland Park in Antibes.

The Mèfi Club continues to spoil its young supporters. Created for children aged 0 to 12, the Gym’s youngest fan group treated its members to a dream afternoon. Destination: the Marineland Aquatic Park in Antibes.

On site, the children discovered the many marine species that inhabit the park, such as sharks, turtles, bears, and even penguins. They also got to experience the park’s latest addition, the 5D cinema, which offers an intense immersion with marine animals.

The highlight of the show was undoubtedly the orca choreography in the large pool, where they also watched the ballet between dolphins and trainers.

The kids left with a head full of memories and stars in their eyes, thrilled to have come so close to all the marine animals that roam the Mediterranean Sea and other French coasts.

Virginie Rossetti, OGC Nice Communication & Brand Director: “Once again, the Mèfi Club provided its members with a superb afternoon. Through the various events created throughout the season, the Mèfi Club aims to offer exceptional experiences to the Gym’s future supporters.”

Isabelle Brasseur, Marineland Educational Manager: “Today we were delighted to welcome the Mefi Club of OGC Nice with whom we share common values, particularly teaching children from a young age good practices: sports with OGC Nice, environmental protection with Marineland. We had many surprises planned for them. They were able to see shows featuring orcas, dolphins, and sea lions and then meet the caretakers who take care of them daily and ask them numerous questions. The goal is ultimately to make these children aware of the importance of our environment. This duty of transmission is important to us because when good information is given from an early age, helping the planet becomes a way of being rather than an effort. A joint action with OGC Nice is fundamental. OGC Nice is highly supported in the region and inspires many people, as do we, so it was only natural to come together.”

Timéo, 9 years old: “It was a great day, the caretakers were very kind and answered all our questions. I got to see animals I had never seen before, like sharks and dolphins. My favorite moment was when the orca splashed us with water.”

Eva, 10 years old: “I had already visited once with my parents, but today we had a lot of fun together and learned things to protect the animals.”
