End of season means transfer updates are back. In this first phase of transfers, OGC Nice has been particularly active, already welcoming three new recruits.
OGC Nice is undergoing a makeover! After a long and difficult season โ highlighted by a qualification for the Champions League playoffs โ the Gym is already looking forward to their next campaign. It will start very early with the third preliminary round of the UCL (draw on July 21), scheduled for August 5/6 (return match the following week, on August 12). Accordingly, the Eagles have slightly moved up their return date, with Badredine Bouanani and his teammates returning to the training center on June 23, to take part in the first physical tests of the pre-season preparation.
This did not prevent the management of OGC Nice from being efficient in the early weeks of the summer transfer window. The first recruit is Gabin Bernardeau (20 years old). The arrival of the young attacking midfielder on the Cรดte d’Azur, from Le Mans, was confirmed as early as mid-June. With interesting potential, he is not expected to play a leading role at first.
Already three recruits for OGC Nice
A few days later, it was Juma Bah who officially joined the Eagles. The large build (1.90m/80kg) bolsters a defensive sector decimated by the long-term injuries of Youssouf Ndayishimiye and Mohamed Abdelmonem, both recovering after ruptured cruciate ligaments. Loaned by Manchester City, the Sierra Leonean favored the Nice project over other Ligue 1 clubs, like OL and RC Lens, where he was loaned between January and June 2025.
Finally, the Gym also completed the arrival of Yehvann Diouf from Stade de Reims. The Senegalese goalkeeper was looking for a new challenge after his club’s relegation to Ligue 2. The operation was reportedly completed for around 7Mโฌ (bonuses included). This arrival mainly compensates for the very likely departure of Marcin Bulka.
Bulka heading to Saudi Arabia
A small chapter is closing at OGC Nice. With his contract expiring in a year, Marcin Bulka is expected to leave the Gym in the coming days. After failing to secure a possible extension for the Pole, the club from the Cรดte d’Azur had no choice but to show him the door. An agreement between the Eagles and the club from Neom reportedly exists, according to several sports media outlets. The Saudi club could pay 15Mโฌ to complete this transaction.
He too has a green light to leave, but for now, Evann Guessand remains a Nice player. Despite interest from several European clubs (Fenerbahรงe, West Ham, Wolverhampton), there has been no major progress on this case. Not in a hurry to leave, the Ivorian international plans to take his time to make the best decision. Recently, Villarreal has reportedly entered the race as well, according to Foot Mercato, and could take action.
OGC Nice is preparing for a major summer overhaul. In this regard, the Gym has announced the new loan of Mattia Viti. After a disappointing stint on the Cรดte d’Azur, the Italian was loaned to Empoli last season. He will play under the colors of Fiorentina this time. Furthermore, the players with contracts until 2026 (Pablo Rosario, Maxime Dupรฉ, Gaรซtan Laborde), as well as those returning from loans (Bilal Brahimi, Rares Ilie, Aliou Baldรฉ) will not be retained this summer.
