After a season and a half at OGC Nice, Andy Delort (31 years old) will finish the 2022-23 campaign with the Canaries.

Recruited at the request of Christophe Galtier in the summer of 2021, Andy Delort had an outstanding season under the guidance of the former Gym coach. 20 goals, 5 assists crowned with the title of Eagle of the season, a superb first campaign with the red and black jersey.

With the arrival of Lucien Favre on the Nice bench, the native of Sรจte lost his status as an indisputable starter in favor of Gaรซtan Laborde. Faced with this situation, the Algerian international decided to leave the Cรดte d’Azur club.

After weeks of negotiations, less than 48 hours before the end of the transfer window, an agreement was finally reached between OGC Nice and FC Nantes. The forward is loaned with an option to buy until the end of the season with the current 13th in Ligue 1 Uber Eats.

A departure that divides the Nice supporters, some regretting the exit of the player who had led Nice to European positions. Others criticize the former number 7 for his desire to leave and the methods he used to provoke it.

After the official announcement of his transfer to FCN, Delort published an open letter addressed to the Gym’s fans:
