With this World Cup in Qatar starting on the 20th, the end of the November matches has quickly arrived. It is already time to designate the Eagle of the Month.
The Gym will have played three matches during this fourth month of competition. First, a victory against Brest (1-0) and two draws at Cologne (2-2) and Lyon (1-1). These 3 matches have indeed tilted towards the positive in this first part of the Nice season with a qualification for the round of 16 of the Europa Conference League and a promising 9th place in Ligue 1.
These three matches were also marked by the rise of a key summer recruit: Kasper Schmeichel. The Danish goalkeeper, who had been rather unconvincing since the start of the season, shone to the point of earning the title of Eagle of the Match twice against Brest and Cologne.
The goalkeeper, who will soon be participating in the World Cup, is the strong favorite to win the title for this November. His only competitor is Jean-Clair Todibo, the eagle of the match at Lyon and twice third at Cologne and against Brest.
Apart from these two players, other nominees include Sofiane Diop, Aaron Ramsey, Dante, and Billal Brahimi.
