For the last home game of the season, the Gym hosts the newly promoted Dijon team. It’s a tricky match for the Nice team, who are keen to end the year on a high note.
Galvanized by PSG’s defeat on Guingamp’s field (2-1) last night, OGC Nice is eagerly awaiting Dijon. But caution is advised, as nothing is guaranteed against a combative and committed team.
Eliminated from the League Cup in the previous round by Sochaux (1-1, 4-5 on penalties), Dijon did not play midweek. After collapsing in the final minutes against OM (1-2) in the last league game, DFCO is preparing to challenge the Gym at the Allianz Riviera this Sunday, with plenty of determination.
The opponent
Promoted to Ligue 1 at the end of last season, Dijon FCO is experiencing a challenging start to the season. After seventeen matches, the Burgundy club is in 17th place with 16 points (3 wins, 7 draws, and 7 losses). Dijon has scored 23 goals and conceded 27.
The absentees
For Nice, the long absences of Mickaël le Bihan and Gautier Lloris are still a concern. Paul Baysse, Valentin Eysseric, and Dalbert are still injured. These absences are compounded by those of Ricardo Pereira and Olivier Boscagli.
For Dijon, the absentees are Anthony Belmonte and Jordan Marié, both in the infirmary. Florent Balmont and Marvin Martin, who are in recovery, are also absent.
