After the quarter-finals played last week, we know who and when the second semi-final of the Coupe de France will be contested. However, one question remains unresolved: in which stadium?
A few days after the Gym qualified for the Coupe de France semi-finals against Marseille (4-1), the Azuréens will now have to defeat the underdog of this Coupe de France: FC Versailles 78.
Having qualified in a penalty shootout against Bergerac, the National 2 team wanted to play the first Coupe de France semi-final in its history in the Paris region, at the Parc des Princes.
But it will not be at the Paris Saint Germain stadium that this match will take place on March 2nd. Indeed, maintenance work on the pitch has been scheduled for that period, so the Versailles officials are considering two other stadiums: Stade de France and Stade Charléty.
If neither of these two stadiums is able to host Nice-Versailles, the match could possibly be played in the Aiglons’ home ground. The Nice club has already made this proposal to the Yvelines team.
