Another misstep at home for OGCN against an opponent (Brest) who was clearly within the reach of the eaglets. Yet another missed opportunity to bolster a ranking that seems lean compared to a fairly favorable schedule: 3 out of 4 opponents are not considered among the Top 5 of the championship.

For a team that had its sights set on a smooth championship, or even one with a tinge of ambition, it’s not promising knowing they’ve only acquired 2 points in 4 matches.
If you add to that mixed performances, with a constrained game and, furthermore, an inability to capitalize on the few scoring opportunities…well, the record is hardly satisfactory.
With two goals in four matches the eaglets are not getting very far, especially if the defense is not as “solid.” All right, the season is just beginning, the transfer window not yet closed, and the team still in the process of preparation…but fortunately, the “best recruits” being Ospina and Mounier who have not left for other pastures.
Better times will come…let’s hope
Without falling into pessimism, the team we saw play in August does not appear to be a great vintage.
So, let’s be realistic (with a hint of optimism) and wait for the last days and hours of the transfer window to allow the Nice recruiters a good move to bolster an attack that, for the moment, seems to have dampened gunpowder.
And since football is never short of a paradox, let’s acknowledge with satisfaction that, despite all this, OGCN is no longer in relegation position!
