OGCN: Confidence to Regain

Latest News

OGCN travels this Saturday evening (9 PM) to Montpellier for the 37th and penultimate day of Ligue 1. A match without stakes except for regaining confidence.

That being said, it is about avoiding finishing behind MHSC in the standings. The two teams are only five points apart. This seems challenging, knowing that Montpellier has won four of the last six encounters across all competitions against the Gym at home (4W, 2D). Adding to this is the mixed record of Didier Digardโ€™s men in the league. Indeed, Nice has only secured two victories in their last eleven league matches.

For the Nice team, much relies on the attacking duo Terem Moffi and Gaรซtan Laborde to find the back of the net. The latter knows Stade de la Mosson well, having played there for four seasons from 2018 to 2022.

Only 150 Supporters at La Mosson

In the late afternoon, the club from Nice announced a decision by the prefecture of Hรฉrault. The decision aims to prohibit the individual travel of supporters to the stadium. Only 150 supporters will be allowed to enter the MHSC premises. They will be transported by bus with a mandatory meeting point at the Baillargues toll area at 6 PM on the evening of the match. This decision is motivated by past issues between the two entities. For about a decade, there have been numerous incidents during matches between the two clubs.

However, it should be noted that the supporter group OGC Nice North Side indicated last week that they do not want to travel to La Mosson as a protest against the management’s neglect and the players’ lack of involvement.
