The Nice transfer market did not take long to get started as not one, but two new signings have been presented.
Firstly, the club decided to strengthen its midfield (possible departure of Jean Michaรซl Seri) with the young Brazilian Danilo Barbosa from the Sporting Club de Braga. After stints with FC Valencia, Benfica, and Standard Liรจge, Danilo arrives on the Cรดte dโAzur with the firm intention of succeeding: “I will contribute as much as possible to the team’s success and support my teammates, who are fundamental to the club’s success in its very positive project.”
OGCN affirms its commitment to young players with the arrival of Danilo (22 years old), who was a starter for Brazil’s U20 team two years ago. The player is particularly eager to reconnect with the Seleรงรฃo during his time with the Aiglons.
The second recruit will bolster Nice’s defense, which failed to adequately replace Paul Baysse last year. Indeed, center-back Christophe Hรฉrelle from the club Troyes is returning to his native Nice. Hรฉrelle, originally from Nice, stated he did not hesitate for a second to join his “favorite club” when an offer was made.
After a good season with ESTAC (despite relegation to Ligue 2), the new Aiglon intends to establish himself within the defense: “I hope to become an undisputed starter.”
The new coach, Patrick Vieira, is very satisfied with the two new players who have been tracked by the club for months.
