On February 16th, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region inaugurated the States-General of the Region on the theme of democracy in Nice. To bring this debate closer to the citizens, democracy actors are invited to initiate their discussions by reaching out to “the Factories of Democracy” (more information at www.acteurdemaregion.fr).
The Region hopes to contribute to creating a collective movement that encourages the expression of new forms of citizen participation.
The National Interest Operation appears to the public as an abstract concept. Organizing territorial or thematic democracy factories could help clarify its issues.
