Olympic Nice Natation honors its champions

This Wednesday, January 24, Olympic Nice Natation is honoring its champions in swimming, artistic swimming, diving, triathlon, and water polo for the 2022/23 sports season.

The President Jean Monnot was present this evening to give out awards to no fewer than 200 athletes for their national and international achievements. The ceremony was held at the Jean Boin pool at 6 PM and was well-attended by the public. Many parents were there to see their children receive well-deserved rewards after much hard work. The clubโ€™s disciplines include swimming, artistic swimming, diving, menโ€™s and womenโ€™s water polo, and they boast some outstanding talents.

The Club’s Notable Performances

The club includes renowned athletes among its ranks. For instance, Olympic swimmer Charlotte Bonnet who has participated in the Olympics 3 times and has been European Champion 6 times. There are also Lilou Ressencourt and Mathys Chouchaoui, who will participate in the U23 European Championship. The Elite water polo team also deserves congratulations! They are currently leading the championship and are a promising team. But let us not forget all the young athletes and children who are part of the club. They are the future and the next generation of Nice’s sports community.

There is also Raphaรซl Dutay, who has been a world champion and a world record holder in the 4×100 meter medley in adaptive swimming. And lastly, in diving, there is Emily Halifax, who is heading to the World Championship in Doha and is already qualified for the upcoming Olympic Games. Nice has every reason to be proud!
