Promenade des Anglais, opposite the Albert 1er Garden,
The Nice march can be done on foot, by bike, or on rollerblades and it will take us to the Lenval Hospital.

– Before the start, children can have their faces painted by 3 makeup artists.
– The international professional makeup training center โMake Up For Ever Academyโ (www.makeupacademynice.com) will join our teams to provide makeup entertainment during the march on the 21st. A makeup stand will be set up by about ten students from this school at the start of the march.
During the march: the march can be completed on rollerblades, by bike, or on foot!
– Doctors from the E.F.S. (French Blood Establishment) will be present to provide information on platelet donations, bone marrow donations, and their importance in the treatment of leukemia and other blood diseases.
– A music teacher from St Laurent du Var music school, accompanied by his students, will enliven the march with light percussion.
– The clown Carabistouille, who works with children in the pediatric services of the Archet Hospital, along with students from the Magnan circus school, will join us.
– All musicians are invited to bring their musical instruments, particularly percussion, to joyfully accompany the march.
Why this march?
Todayโs treatments for fighting cancer rely on the availability of blood platelets and, for many blood cancers like leukemia, on the availability of compatible stem cells (bone marrow, cord blood). This availability solely depends on the generosity of donors. Without them, there is no hope for cure; there is no alternative. These platelets and stem cells are irreplaceable for saving the lives of thousands of patients.
This march aims to raise awareness among the youth about the importance of platelet donation with three goals:
– to no longer make patients wait who are in need of platelets.
– to lower the average age of regular donors.
– to make this donation a civic and natural act.
So, see you on Sunday, May 21 at 2:30 PM because “It is hardly acceptable to witness a human being die because others did not know they could save him” โ Stรฉphanie Fugain.
