Latest News

Built in the 13th century by Franciscan monks, this church in Saint François Square is a must-see monument of Nice’s heritage.

A massive building. Measuring 40 meters in length, 12 meters in width, and 18 meters in height, it has been under construction for 8 months. For its restoration, ceilings had to be dismantled and dozens of tons of debris cleared away.

The former Franciscan church will become part of a cultural complex dedicated to the history of Nice. It will also include the communal palace, the hotel of the Golden Eagle, and the Saint François Tower, which overlooks the rooftops of the old town.
