After two weeks without competition, the Elite team of Olympique Nice Natation returns to the championship. For this third day, the Niรงois will host Aix-les-Bains on Saturday at 7 PM at the Jean-Bouin pool. A team composed of good players, Aix-les-Bains has had a mixed start to the season. Indeed, ONN’s opponents managed to deliver a strong performance on the first day by securing a draw in Montpellier (9-9), but they also showed they could suffer a heavy defeat (6 to 14 against Sรจte). What face will Aix-les-Bains show at the Jean-Bouin pool?
On their side, the Niรงois, having completed their European campaign, were able to rest after a very busy start to the season. โIt feels good,โ acknowledges coach Julius Izdinsky. After two victories, the ONN players aim for a third consecutive success, especially at home where they are always eagerly awaited by their fans. But the most important thing for this young team will be to refine their collective play, which still lacks fluidity. “We are still searching for a true collective. It takes time and many games to reach an interesting level of play. We must have an open mind and be more professional. Each player must question themselves to use their qualities for the team. Aix-les-Bains is a team that will be difficult to handle. After two rounds of the championship, we do not yet have our bearings.”
The Niรงois will still be without their striker Christian Santini, who could be absent until the end of November.
