As part of the second edition of “April in the Gardens,” the APPESE association is offering an open day this Thursday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the heart of the educational and communal garden at the Prieuré du Vieux Logis.
Program:
– Tour of the various urban gardening areas (1,000 m²) of the Prieuré du Vieux-Logis
– Presentation of gardening methods
– Visit to workshops and exhibition of work done by participants (drawings, mosaics, pottery, modeling, sewing…)
– Repotting workshop
– Gardening session with a local primary school class (afternoon)
– Presentation of the educational and productive greenhouse
– Launch of the “Zero Waste” workshop – as part of the 10th Environmental Trophies of the City of Nice
– And finally, a presentation of the composting area.
The APPESE Association:
The Association for the Promotion of Prevention and Social Economy in Europe (APPESE) conducts social and educational projects aimed at all audiences (young and old) in the Alpes-Maritimes region. Their actions specifically target training, education, combating school failure, illiteracy, intergenerational activities, prevention, and solidarity.
