Free software is not quite a novelty anymore, yet it is not always well known. With the context of the financial crisis and the resulting restrictions, a renewed interest has brought them to the forefront today.
After a brief state of the art, we will evaluate the current involvement of companies in this field and the issues that arise from it. We will also see how to approach the implementation of free software in companies.
Two experts will offer their insights on this subject:
Marc Augier, professor of information systems management and head of the Learning Lab at CERAM since 2001. After holding various positions as a software engineer, customer manager, or project manager for IBM France, he was a consultant at Accenture for nearly 10 years.
Pascal Flamand, founding manager of the company Janua. After working for 13 years at Sun Microsystems, he founded his own company in 2004. Janua is a service and integration company that offers businesses support in transitioning to the world of free software and standard component-based infrastructures.
The Innovation & Knowledge cycle is intended for company executives and senior managers of businesses and communities in Sophia-Antipolis and the Alpes Maritimes.
Each breakfast is designed as a concentration of experience and exchanges with the presentation of an expert, a company example, and Q&A sessions.
