Openclubber: the website for clubbers from the Azure coast

Latest News

L’Annexe, a place for clubbers, at the Annex nightclub in Saint-Laurent du Var last Thursday. A Star Wars-themed party to introduce the DVD of the latest installment of the series. What to remember from this evening? The very discreet presence of Maud and Arno, fresh from Star Ac5. The absence of Anakin Skywalker, R2D2, and Darth Vader, likely caught in intergalactic traffic jams. The evening, organized by Fac+ (the Cultural and Associative Federation of Azuréan students), was nevertheless a success. Young people move their bodies, gaze at each other, and flirt… Controlled swaying follows the jolts of the pelvis. A feast for the eyes but also for the team of www.openclubber.com, who photographed and filmed the evening for their site, which is increasingly successful in the nightlife world. Let’s flashback to the creation of openclubber.

Benjamin Ledoux, 21 years old, is a student like any other. He attends the benches of ESPÈME (School of Commerce). He likes to have fun and go out. Like many young people, he has ideas and a certain taste for initiative and enterprise. One summer evening, an idea struck him. An idea that gave birth to the official website of Clubbing and student nights: www.openclubber.com. “I was searching the Internet for a place to go clubbing with my friends. An unsuccessful search. Either too far away. Or it lacked details. Then the idea came to me to create a website where nightclub evenings would be listed. The next day I created openclubber.com,” explains Benjamin. His friends gather around him. And since that summer day, openclubber has continued to grow.

Initially just an evening agenda, then came photo and video reportages. “There have been three versions of the site. The first was to see if the project was viable, if there was a real demand for information on clubbing. This was the case. So we grew, proposed new sections. Today’s site has nothing to do with the first. And today’s site will also evolve to offer even more services,” comments, ambitious yet realistic, the young commerce student. From his studies, he uses the basics of communication: making his skills known. But he is not alone. Openclubber is an association of ten students aged 19 to 24 with the same passion for warm Azuréan nights in nightclubs but also with the desire to show the other side of night jobs.

“DJs are the kings of clubs. The quality of the night depends on them. To get to know them better, we will present them one by one. First, to reveal their musical personalities but also to discuss their passions and hobbies. The aim is to humanize clubbers often burdened with mostly unfounded prejudices,” analyzes Benjamin.

Another eye, another perspective with a care to inform, this resembles “clubbing-journalism.” Openclubber focuses on an environment in constant movement, at the forefront of fashion and new trends. The dynamism and creativity of this young team perfectly match this universe. In the coming weeks, new features will appear : presales for parties, greater interactivity, even more reports, and presence in the parties of the Coast. With an idea flowering each day, openclubber is far from wilting. It is and will remain the reference site for Azuréan clubbing.
