The new UMAM biennial has opened its doors at the Chรขteau Grimaldi in Haut-de-Cagnes.
Faithful to the wishes of its founders since 1946, Henri Matisse and Pierre Bonnard, this year the biennial brings together more than 75 living contemporary artists from 10 Mediterranean countries, who will be exhibited until November 2014.
45 of them are exhibited at the Chรขteau Grimaldi and compete for four prizes: the MATISSE prize, the BONNARD prize, the City of CAGNES-SUR-MER prize, and the JEAN MOULIN prize.
The other artists will be exhibited from June 26 at Vision Future in Nice and at Barclays in Nice and Cagnes-sur-Mer.
