The vintage of 2010 will be one of a new spirit named “Oriental Fairy Tales”. Indeed, it is adorned with a delicate Oriental touch that the Sea Lounge Monte-Carlo will reopen its doors. The refinements of the Orient will be subtly suggested in fine elements of decoration such as lanterns, in the installation of a hookah lounge, and in the oriental vibes of the musical atmosphere. “Oriental Fairy Tales” is also the name chosen by the in-house sound designer Benjamin Franklin for the seventh Sea Lounge compilation, soon available in stores.
The dining experience will be completely revamped and orchestrated by a Lebanese chef who works in one of the trendiest restaurants in Beirut. So, honoring skewers and “mezzes” along with a multitude of specialties served in small cups, which can be nibbled at leisure or enjoyed with delicious Lebanese flatbreads.
For the third consecutive season, resident DJ Lorenzo di Grasso will set the rhythm for a calendar now punctuated by numerous surprises and happenings. The singer Leebroz, who last year thrilled the Sea Lounge clientele during the Fête de la Musique, will perform every Wednesday and Thursday, from July 13 to August 12, from 8 PM to midnight.
Highlights of the summer include the four must-attend “event evenings”, starting on May 16 with the highly sought-after Warm Up, the place to be in the Principality right after the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit closes. Undoubtedly one of the most happening evenings of the season! On June 21, the Sea Lounge will celebrate music with the theme Lebanon House Music, featuring DJ Claude Monnet. On July 13, there will be a Summer Party Purple Music with DJ Jamie Lewis, and on August 14, a White Night powered by the Italian DJ Get Far.
Other happenings will smoothly punctuate the season. Noteworthy guests include John Revox (June 12), the “French DJ Family Party” (July 17), the mixes of Jul Bricks (July 23 & 24), Secret Freaks (July 24), Olivier Darock (August 7), and the Ukrainian DJ Boris Roodwoy (August 28). On July 16, an unmissable event: an evening dedicated to the Sea Lounge’s compilation 7 “Oriental Fairy Tales” with Benjamin Franklin.
With, among others, the upcoming opening of the Buddha Bar and the exceptional programming announced this summer at Jimmy’z Monte-Carlo, this new face of the Sea Lounge is one manifestation of the emergence of an extremely rich and distinctive “night hub”, making Monte-Carlo one of the Mediterranean capitals of partying.
